Iona Kirk

Hi! My name is Iona Kirk and I am a dancer, singer, actress, model, and an award winning theatre-maker. I graduated with a BA Hons Theatre Dance from London Studio Centre in the 2018 musical theatre company, Seedtime. I have worked for various companies including English National Opera and leading female-led theatre company 45North.

 

As a movement artist I am trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and pas de deux. I make narrative led movement fusing contemporary jazz and gestural language.

In 2019-20 I debuted my first dance-theatre work, (un)written • (un)heard which I co-conceived, choreographed, and danced. The piece premiered internationally at Fringe World Festival Western Australia and received the festival's Dance & Physical Theatre Award.

I am currently developing a new work with support from Ellandar Productions & Blue Elephant Theatre focusing on how identity politics intersects with mental wellbeing.
